Craft Beer Week has ended but you can still enjoy local brews. We will be featuring Russell Brewery’s Brewmaster Series Wee Angry Scotch Ale and Blood Alley Bitter for the month of May.

On Wednesday, May 2nd the Black Bear Pub will donate a portion of our profits. All monies raised will go to help Lynn Valley Elementary School.

Are you smarter than the average Bear? We will have our 1st Trivia Night event on Monday, April 23rd.

Canucks start their charge for the Lord Stanley’s Cup and the we’ll be right with them all the way. Bud is featured each and every game day.

Canuck Jersey Draw: We have two [2] Official Canuck Jersey’s up for grabs. Ask you server for a ballot for your chance to win. No purchase necessary. Draw will be held after the Canucks are knocked out or lift the Cup.

The Black Bear are also a big Whitecaps fan, so the same Budweiser feature will run on their game days. While supplies last we will be selling special 16fl oz sleeves during game days and you get to keep the glass!

YOU DID IT! The Bear donates $0.50 to the North Shore Disability Resource Centre for every signature Quesadilla our guests purchase. On February 12th, 2012 Hillary S purchases the 20,000 Quesadilla taking us over the top, meaning we reached $10,000 in donations for this great, local group. In addition to a great meal Hillary also received a Black Bear Gift Certificate.

March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day and to honor this the Bear will be featuring pints of Guinness all month. Sláinte (to your health). Other events coming up in March include Good Friday [6th], Easter Sunday & Monday [8th & 9th]

The Bear turns 15 on Thursday, February 9th! To all our customers, staff and suppliers that have helped make us North Shore’s favorite Neighbourhood Pub. We could not have done it without your continued support! Come celebrate with us & enjoy some special features for the day or have a piece of birthday cake.

What else? well pints of Stella will be featured for the entire month plus some super-specials for Super Bowl and a great feature for Valentine’s Day just to mention a few things.

Granville Island Brewery is partnering with the Black Bear again this December to help the North Shore Disability Resource Centre. The Bear donates $0.50 for every signature Quesadilla [Veg, Chicken, Pulled Pork, Chorizo and Shrimp], we sell and GI will match this months donation. To date we donated close to $10,000!.

In addition, we will be featuring the GI draught beers for the month [Winter Ale, Honey Lager & Pale Ale] $4.25 sleeves and $15.99 pitchers. Enter for your chance to win a snow board and ski passes.

Retro Bear Features: We’re turning back the clock and offering some classic Bear dishes from the past.
